Since Wednesday, we have responded to approximately 47 incidents, mostly related to the recent storm. These incidents include multiple utility issues, trees on structures, and carbon monoxide emergencies.

As a reminder to remain safe as we continue to ride out the effects of the storm:

Do not attempt to go near/remove any down utility lines.

Place all portable generators outdoors, away from any structure. Make sure exhaust has ample area to ventilate into the outside air, not back into your home.

Use portable generators within the manufacturers instructions and do not attempt to connect a generator into your home’s wiring unless it has been wired to do so by an electrician. This can pose a significant risk to you, your home and utility workers as they begin to attempt repairs.

Do not leave any candles in your home unattended.

Please clear fire hydrants as best as you are able to do so and as long as the area around the hydrant is free of hazards.

Stay safe!
