2-12-2014 Hydrant Snow Removal

Published on: February 12, 2014

The New Providence Fire Department requests that all citizens please remember to clear a three foot radius around the fire hydrants on their property after each snow event. This is a very important task because if there is an emergency, especially a house fire, the fire department personal will have to spend critical time digging out a hydrant that could be spent suppressing the fire. If you have a neighbor with a fire hydrant that cannot physically clear around it please help them out as that hydrant will also serve to protect your property as well. Thank you for your continuing support, and understanding during this unusually snowy winter.

The New Providence Fire Department is a 100% volunteer company that relies on the support of the community. Thank you for your continuing support !
